The National Memorial Arboretum is the UK’s year-round centre of Remembrance and home to over 400 symbolic memorials. Situated across a 150-acre site, amongst 25,000 maturing trees, the memorials pay tribute to those who have served our country, including the Armed Forces, civilian and emergency services, and UK charities.
The Arboretum features a contemporary visitor centre, events building, two children’s play areas, woodland walks, land train tours, buggy tours, exhibitions, restaurant, coffee shop and learning centre. Events and family activities are available.
With a 60-year history, Twycross Zoo has more than 500 animals, and is the only UK zoo which is home to all four species of great apes. They are proud of their reputation as a conservation centre with a history of breeding endangered species. Enjoy a wild day out for the whole family!
Twycross Zoo is also home to The Gruffalo Discovery Land. This brand new four-acre land brings together the much-loved characters from The Gruffalo. With real-life animals, animatronics, film clips and much more, you will encounter Mouse, Fox, Owl, Snake and the Gruffalo along an interactive journey through the deep dark wood.
